Crystal Clear 9 (May 2004)

This edition provides feedback on the learning sessions developed by BPD at several international events, an update on recent project support in Angola and Tanzania and further information on our latest research. Our guest writer focuses on partnerships and accountability.

Crystal Clear 8 (November 2003)

The November 2003 edition gives feedback on the recent AGM, the work with transactions advisors on pro-poor reform and partnership, an update on BPD project support, recent events and a guest piece on Small Scale Independent Water Providers.

Crystal Clear 7 (March 2003)

This edition explains more about the changes taking place at BPD, and what a wider mandate may mean to you in terms of membership, project support, or otherwise.  It also focuses on what BPD has done over the last nine months, including attendance at WSSD, a workshop for advisors on water and sanitation reform and the Third World Water Forum in Kyoto. 

Crystal Clear 6 (May 2002)

This edition recaps on the last three years of the initiative and outlines BPD plans for the future. It also gives feedback on recent activities and research papers - 'Making Innovation Work through Partnerships in Water and Sanitation Projects' and 'The Interface between Regulatory Frameworks and Local Level Partnerships'.

Crystal Clear 5 (September 2001)

This edition showcases articles on: emerging models for providing water and sanitation to the rural poor; the three sectoral workshops held in 2000; the 'Cost Recovery in Partnership' survey. It also introduces two research reports on 'Education and Awareness in Partnership' and 'Alternative Approaches to Service Provision'.

Crystal Clear 4 (September 2000)

This edition reports on: the NGO and Public Sector workshops; the BoTT (Build, operate, Train and Transfer) projects in the Northern Province and Eastern Cape of South Africa; other BPD research on the 'Tri-sector Partnership Survey' and the 'Cost Recovery Survey'.

Crystal Clear 3 (April 2000)

The third edition examines some of the research activities being conducted by other institutions, the La Paz-El Alto project in Bolivia and the BPD South Africa action learning visit.

Crystal Clear 2 (December 1999)

This edition introduces some of the difficulties and challenges of tri-sector partnership, the challenge of urban sanitation, the Kwa-Zulu Natal focus project and the Water & sanitation role within the bigger BPD picture.

Crystal Clear 1 (August 1999)

The first edition introduces BPD and its mission. It looks at the changing perspectives of stakeholders and the potential benefits expected from such partnership arrangements.
